Quizzes, Publinc Speaking , Debates and Chess Classes.
Students are taught to speak confidently from an early stage. Different competitions are held to expose the students to the different forms of public speaking, Just a minute where students are given a topic and has to express it in a minute. Also extempore speeches are held where on the spot they have to speak on a given topic. In class as well as House wise competitions are held where the students are encouraged to participate and build up their confidence in public speaking.
In the middle school debates are held where they have to speak for or against the given topic. Inter House competitions are held class wise to give opportunities to more students to hone their talents in debates.
Our students participate in various Debate competitions and have been bringing back a lot of prizes,In recent times our team was the winner at the debate competition organised by Laxmipat Singhania Academy. The team comprised of Devrat Poddar and Abhishek Ghosh. Abhishek Ghosh was judged the best speaker speaking for the Motion. Vedika Pandey participated in the Hindi Extempore Competition.
Our senior students qualified for the Debating Matters organized by British Council and were the National Champions. They will represent the country for the International competition in October 2010 at London.
Quizzes are held regularly not only in the general field but also subject wise quizzes are held right from the Junior classes.
Eve Quiz, Maths Quiz , Science Quiz, Social Science Quiz as well as general quiz ez are held regularly.

The Quiz club organizes quiz competitions for the students and they represent the school I various competitions and win accolades.
In the Maggie Quiz held on 15th September the team who came first had scored the highest in the city and they will represent in the school in the Interschool competition At Ullas , The competition organized by South Point School our team came second.
The students have represented the school in the Inter DPS and AISCE Competitions |

| To hone the talents of students special classes are held for some students who have a knack and interest in chess. A qualified trained person from the Dibendu Baruas’ Chess Academy coaches the Junior and Senior Students once aweek. |
